Weird Al is a genius.
That's one of those sentences that almost seems a waste to write, since it's so damn obvious. But sometimes we need to be reminded.
Kurt Cobain, the Anointed One of grunge, was clearly no stranger to Al's music. Since Weird Al is a gentleman, he always seeks out approval for his parodies, even though he has no legal reason to do so. It's just the kind of dude he is.
And when he called Kurt, the Nirvana frontman gladly answered, and asked if the song would be about... what?
